An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted southern Mid-Atlantic Ridge at 13:31 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 14.50 km, was initially determined to be at 33.1 degrees south latitude and 16.0 degrees west longitude.
