With excitement and pride, The Duel is extremely pleased to announce that they have once again been invited to play at the legendary Rebellion Punk Music Festival in August. Held through four days and featuring over 200 bands across 6 stages, punk’s biggest festival provides the perfect celebration of punk rock; live performances, art, cinema, and merchandise brought together upon the canvas provided by the world renowned event.
2014 will mark the ninth consecutive year that the Duel have been invited and performed at the original Punk and Alternative Festival at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. It is an honour which London’s now-wave punks always proudly feed their energy from at the event and added to the excitement of releasing their new album “Waging War” this year, the band will be fired up more than ever.
Rebellion runs from the 7th August through to the 10th and will see bands such as the already announced Killing Joke, NOFX, UK Subs, Ruts DC and DOA with their last every UK appearance, thrilling audiences.
The Duel have been confirmed to play on the first night, Thursday the 7th, where they will share the stage with the likes of The Dickies, The Selecter, Goldblade, Demented Are Go, and Street Dogs. As the excitement flows through the veins of the band in anticipation, The Duel will be warming up in fine voracious style through their residency at the FFRUK Reggae Punk Mondays events.
Rebellion is destined to have one of its most explosive and memorable years in 2014 with The Duel again right at the heart of it.
